With over 100 students from the forth grade attending our " Education & Rugby Values " seminar, we are very excited to educate the importance of performing off the field as well as on.
CROWNED D2 NATIONAL 7'S COLLEGE CHAMPIONS!
JMU Men's 7's Rugby Team finished off the weekend on a high.
Starting the competition off with a loss, against Notre Dame College, but bouncing back with 3 straight wins & the opportunity to play in the open Men's D2 seven's Final.
Playing against the Wisconsin Whitewater University, both teams came out guns blazing, exchanging try for try in the 1st half.
with the scores still very close in the 2nd half, JMU started to pull away with 5mins on the clock remaining.
Final scores Whitewater 22 & JMU 40.
GREAT FIGHT BACK FROM JMU WOMEN BUT FALL SHORT OF SLIVER WEAR.
In the Women's shield final against Humboldt State University. Humboldt came out strong, scoring the 1st two tries to take the lead.
JMU Women came back with two late tries in the 2nd half, the last tries & conversion taking the game to overtime.
With 5mins for overtime, Humboldt retained the ball & with good momentum, scored the first try to win the game.
